St. George's Society of New York is proud to be a Founding Member of the Queen Elizabeth II September 11th Garden

The Garden was founded in 2002 by St. George's Society and the British Consulate-General in New York to honor and memorialize the 67 British subjects who lost their lives in the tragic attacks of September 11, 2001. In 2011 the purpose of the Garden was expanded to honor victims from the Commonwealth nations.

Many members of the Royal Family have visited the Garden, including Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales (the Garden's Royal Patron) and The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and in 2010 HM Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh
