Members of St. George’s Society of New York joined us for our 251st Annual General Meeting held virtually on Wednesday 27th January 2021. The virtual gathering reported on 2020’s activities and successes as well as plans for 2021. A key item of business was to elect the Board of Directors including the incoming class of Directors.

Volunteer Spotlight: Dylan Radcliff

Looking for something to occupy his newly acquired free time and a way to give back amidst the pandemic, Dylan’s interest was piqued when he came across St. George’s Society New York on social media. Soon after, he began volunteering with the Society and has since worked on a variety of fascinating projects including what is affectionately called “The Stanton Collection”.

William R. Miller CBE KStJ

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of longtime supporter of St. George’s Society, William R. Miller CBE KStJ. Bill served as President of the Society from 2001 to 2003 and remained a member of the Society’s Advisory Council until his passing. Under his presidency, the Society founded what is now the Queen Elizabeth II September 11th Garden—of which he was Chairman Emeritus.

St. George's Society Awards Scholarships to 24 Students for the 20/21 Academic Year

We are pleased to announce that 24 students from Lehman and Hunter Colleges will receive scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year. The Society’s Scholarship Program serves as an engine of social mobility and equality for inspired but under-resourced students and now more than ever, they need our help. For Our Frontlines

In response to the ongoing global health crisis, St. George’s Society collaborated with a member of our Board of Directors to supply scrubs, essential medical attire and other personal protective equipment to medical personnel working on the frontlines in three tri-state area hospitals.
