[WEBINAR] US Substantial Presence Test and COVID-19 Travel Restrictions

Has the current crisis messed up your US tax plans?

Join St. George's Society and Frank Hirth's Michael Lewis and Mark Allsopp for a webinar where they discuss what this might mean from a US tax perspective—whether there is likely to be any relief given by the IRS, whether there are any exceptions and what someone can do to mitigate any problem.

For non-US citizens and green card holders, US tax residence is determined by reference to the Substantial Presence test which in turn is tested by reference to days spent in the US. The current travel restrictions (and/or potentially the need to self-isolate) may have caused people to spend more, in the US than anticipated and hence may have thrown carefully prepared tax strategy plans into disarray.

A Q&A session will follow the presentation. We recommend submitting your questions in advance when you register. You will also have the opportunity to submit questions throughout the webinar.
