Meet Fiona

Fiona was raised by Irish parents in Westchester, New York. Growing up, Fiona spent her summers in Northern Ireland working on the family farm alongside her large network of extended cousins. Her parents have always encouraged her to “not only dream about success, but work for it.”

Balancing school with two jobs as a research assistant and patient care technician, Fiona was one of the first people in her family to attend university. Thanks to her scholarship, Fiona was able to graduate in June with a B.A. in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology with a minor in Early Childhood Education.

To receive a scholarship from one of the oldest charitable organizations in New York is a tremendous privilege. I am now one step closer to attending graduate school and my dream career.
