Welcoming our New Board President, Marc Walby

We want to wish a belated congratulations to our new Board President, Marc Walby. Marc is an accomplished financial services executive with 25+ years of leadership experience on an international basis, and currently serves as an industry advisor to various financial services organizations and industry groups.

Marc was previously a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting where he led the firm's Financial Services Risk Management practice and served on various leadership teams for Digital/Opening Banking, FinTech and Digital Currencies. Prior to FTI, Marc was the Chief Operating Officer for Deutsche Bank’s Risk Management division in the Americas and also served as the Chief Risk Officer for the Americas region. His career has also included serving as a Partner with KPMG in their Financial Services practice where he advised various global investment and commercial banks, broker dealers, insurance companies and asset managers.

Marc is an experienced non-profit Board Member and Corporate officer, having served as Board Member, Treasurer and Chair of the Finance, Investments and Audit Committee for Reading is Fundamental, the nation’s largest children’s literacy charity. He also co-founded New York Welsh, a leading social and cultural network for the Welsh community in NYC. Marc holds a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics and Business from Warwick University, U.K. and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).

In addition to his non-profit work, Marc enjoys spending his spare time with his family Virginia, Miller (11) and Reed (9). Much of their family time revolves around sporting activities and travel, in particular the boys’ football leagues and tournaments, skiing and snowboarding trip in the winter and golfing in the summer.
