Farewell Hastings
It is bittersweet to announce Hastings Hill’s departure as Communications & Membership Manager on 3rd June. A graduate of King’s College London, Hastings was first a member of SGSNY before joining the team in 2017, and has been essential to the growth and success of the organization.
In that time, she has been involved in many significant accomplishments, including:
Redesigning the website and launching the refresh of the SGSNY brand in 2017.
Managing the SGSNY membership portfolio and restructuring the corporate membership scheme.
Producing SGSNY’s internal and external communications and marketing materials including annual reports, monthly newsletters and social media campaigns.
Facilitating the execution of the 250th Anniversary Appeal achieving our $2.5 million target in pledged commitments in early 2022.
Transitioning SGSNY from a legacy donor database to a new cloud-based CRM enabling improved donor management and reducing administrative time by 60%.
With the Development Committee, securing a $600K grant from the Manton Foundation in 2020 allowing for the expansion of Scholarship Program to CUNY universities across NYC’s five boroughs.
I know that Hastings will be missed by the staff, Board, members and partners. I am especially grateful for her steadfast commitment and personal support during my time as ED. I am delighted she is moving up in her career and that she has secured a fantastic new role. And though she is irreplaceable, we will be advertising the role soon. Please watch this space for more details and do bear with us as we transition.
Sincerely,
Clare Risman
Executive Director, SGSNY
