Christmas Beneficiary Afternoon Tea

This holiday season, SGSNY hosted its annual Beneficiary Afternoon Tea at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue, which brings together seniors from the program and our volunteers. The day began with a volunteer holiday gift wrapping event in which community members of all ages joined to wrap gifts that would later be given out to our beneficiaries at the party. We thank all the “Christmas Elves” who came out to help and to our partner KPMG for their support.

The main event included a beautiful afternoon tea that beneficiaries and volunteers alike joined to enjoy tea and sweets. Our time together was made even more enjoyable by caroling by the choir led by Rev. Alison Turner. Several beneficiaries also provided entertainment by reading their poetry, which provided a good dose of much needed Christmas cheer and jolliness. Everyone in attendance thoroughly enjoyed the joyous and festive day, and we look forward to continuing the tradition next year!
