Scholarship Reception

St. George’s Society of New York is pleased to share that it recently hosted current SGSNY scholars and alumni at our annual Scholarship Reception. The event brings together scholars and SGSNY members and program supporters for an enjoyable evening of networking and socializing each winter. 

This reception is designed to help our scholars practice networking in a safe, supportive environment before they go on the job market after graduation. It also provides them with an opportunity to develop professional connections that can help guide them through the major transition from college to a professional career. Frequently, scholar mentees meet their mentors in person for the first time at the event.

This year was particularly special as we announced a new partnership with City College of New York. We’re so pleased to begin this relationship and happy to see this program flourish as we broaden our network of supporters. We are deeply grateful to former SGSNY President John Harvey and Kazie Harvey for kindly opening their home to us again this year. All of us at SGSNY are very proud of our scholars and program alumni. We feel truly fortunate to have the opportunity to support them as they pursue their dreams.
