SGSNY Program Coordinator Jessica Sims manages the Weatherstone Families Support Fund. She shares her recent experience meeting one of our families, the McCaughans, during their trip to NYC for cancer treatment for 4-year-old Mollie.

This year, St. George’s Society will launch a partnership with UK charity Solving Kids’ Cancer providing practical and logistical support to families of children visiting New York from the UK for clinical trials and treatment.

Four-year-old Lottie has been fighting a battle against high-risk neuroblastoma for more than two years. In order to prevent relapse, Lottie’s family—who are based in the UK—raised enough funds to enroll her in clinical trials at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York.

Originally from Yorkshire, Chloe was diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer in 2005. Since moving to New York for treatment in 2006, St. George’s Society has financially supported Chloe and her family.
