Manhattan Beneficiary Holiday Celebration at St. Thomas Church

SGSNY Beneficiaries pulling Christmas Crackers

Year after year, we host a festive and heartwarming event for our Beneficiaries during the holiday season and this year wasn’t any different! 19 of our Manhattan-based senior beneficiaries at St. Thomas Church on Fifth Avenue joined staff and volunteers for a day filled with generosity, community spirit, and holiday cheer.

Staff and volunteers wrapped holiday gifts for our seniors, ensuring that everyone would leave with thoughtful presents to unwrap this holiday season.

Reverend Alison Turner led a prayer and blessing before we gathered for afternoon tea, which was generously donated by Alison and her husband, Rector Carl Turner. Our guests enjoyed a delicious spread of tea, sandwiches, and cakes, while two of our seniors shared their own poems, adding a touching element to the celebration.

We were delighted to be joined by students from Nord Anglia International School of New York, who brought extra holiday cheer by performing a selection of their favorite Christmas songs. The students' singing brought smiles and joy, and soon after, we all joined in to sing Christmas carols together.

To close out the afternoon, the students helped distribute the gifts to our Beneficiaries!

We want to extend a very special thank you to Reverend Alison and Rector Carl Turner, the students from Nord Anglia School, and all of our dedicated volunteers who made this day possible. We wish you all a wonderful holiday season.

Happy Holidays!
