Member Spotlight: Meet Ginge Calhoun

Born and raised in England, Ginge brings a personal understanding of the challenges and joys of moving whether it be across the ocean or around the country, having lived in Southern California, New York City and now Morristown, NJ. Her degree in Business Administration plus years of experience in sales & marketing in the UK and later as a manager at Lululemon make a great combination for her clients. Known for her attention to detail, enthusiasm, sense of humor and local expertise, Ginge is dedicated to guiding clients through every step of their real estate journey. Ginge is a founding agent at Compass NJ, Short Hills where she co-lead a top-producing team. Ginge founded Brits of Compass in 2023 - a group of British Compass agents serving the USA (and having a great time doing it).

How did you come to learn about St. George's Society of NY?

A Compass Colleague and Friend who joined "Brits of Compass"  introduced me to SGSNY. It was SO great to meet so many Brits living in NYC and the surrounding area.

What is your favorite part of being a SGSNY member? I love meeting members/guests of SGS and making connections. I have made new friends through the Society and love being part of an organization that gives back via its members.

How has being a part of SGSNY helped you as a new New Yorker (personally and/or professionally)? 

Personally - St George’s has widened my social network and also inspired me to be more involved in a charitable organization and causes.

Professionally - I have met many great people in different careers and professions whom I have then connected with others.

What is your favorite place in NYC? Favorite food or meal you've had since you've been here?

Oooh that is a tough one! I LOVE Champers Social Club and of course Myers of Keswick.
