Earlier this week, two of our colleagues Patrick and Katie had the pleasure of meeting the incredible Eden (9), her sister Tia (11), and dad Lee.
DeShaun was always expected to take the lead in his household. Lacking emotional support, DeShaun struggled in school and was on the brink of dropping out. Fortunately, he was introduced to the field of mental health and found something that he was truly passionate about.

The Solieri family recently returned to New York to continue seven-year-old Arianna’s cancer treatment. The current phase of her treatment involves a series of short trips to New York from the UK over several months.
St. George’s Society of New York is pleased to commemorate the arrival of the York ledger stone with a centennial celebration when in 1924, New York presented the city of York with a bronze plaque which is currently housed in the York Guildhall. The ledger was sent to commemorate this historic event.
It was a cold December day, when St George’s Society held their annual Beneficiary Christmas Tea. The SGSNY team, along with approximately twenty of its Beneficiaries met at St Thomas Church to enjoy each other's company, share gifts and celebrate the festivities with carols and poems.
SGSNY was fortunate to meet the Solieri family on their first trip to NYC in December 2023 to begin the vaccine trial for seven-year-old Arianna.
This holiday season, SGSNY hosted its annual Beneficiary Afternoon Tea at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue, which brings together seniors from the program and our volunteers.
Arianna Solieri, from Ware Hertfordshire (United Kingdom), was diagnosed with stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma at age five.
Alice Hayes, from Ireland is an incredibly energetic, intelligent, and joyous child. She was diagnosed with stage 4 high-risk neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of pediatric cancer, at eight years old.

It is graduation season, and we couldn’t be prouder of our SGSNY Class of 2022! Marking a 100% completion rate for the Scholarship Program this academic year, our 24 graduates have earned a host of distinctions and awards, and the number of postgraduate acceptance letters, scholarship awards, and employment offers continue to come in. We are delighted to welcome this esteemed group of students to our growing community of 440+ SGSNY Scholar alums!
It is bittersweet to announce Hastings Hill’s departure as Communications & Membership Manager on 3rd June. Hastings was first a member of SGSNY before joining the team in 2017, and has been essential to the growth and success of the organization. Hastings will be missed by the staff, Board, members and partners alike.
SGSNY is thrilled to announce we have reached our 250th Anniversary Appeal goal, with donations and pledges reaching $2.5 million over the course of a 3-year period.
